Dale Oxley
Dale currently serves as Immediate Past President of the HBAWV and is licensed as a contractor/homebuilder for 20+ years. He is originally from Putnam County WV and graduated from Marshall University. Dale started Modern Home Concepts and as the name indicates his desire to provide code compliant, energy efficient housing to all West Virginians. He joined the HBA Greater Charleston in 2009 with the guidance from John Kopyscianski, and served on the local board of directors and as president of the HBA of Greater Charleston local. Dale and his employees, subcontractors, and vendors were privileged to be chosen to build the 2010 St. Jude Home in Charleston. Dale serves as National Area Chairman (NAC) to NAHB, representing WV, KY and OH builders at NAHB. He also serves as a member of codes/standards committee at national (NAHB) in which he works to provide guidance on future code implantation. He is also a registered lobbyist for the HBAWV and works diligently to provide the voice for homebuilding and the building community on state legislation issues. His work with the WV Fire Marshal’s office has benefited the home building industry to introduce new building code adoption in West Virginia. Dale works as an advocate for housing, speaking to local, state and federal representatives to keep housing more at the focal point of the economy.
