New Insurance Program!

In September, 2009 a number of eligible members of the WVHBA began taking advantage of a new partnership with BrickStreet Insurance.  The initial discount offered (and renegotiable annually based on participation and loss ratio) was 7.2% on their premiums.

As we announced this partnership Greg Burton, BrickStreet’s President and CEO, said "We are pleased to partner with the Home Builders Association in an effort to further encourage a safety culture within their membership.  The Association now serves as a model for their individual policyholders in order to help drive safety-related performance and lower overall costs."

In responding to Mr. Burton's comments, West Virginia Home Builder Association President David W. Van Horn said "Our members have a solid reputation of being safety conscious and we are flattered and pleased that BrickStreet has recognized us as a model in the important role we play in housing West Virginia’s citizens."

As you browse the information being provided you will be directed to the BrickStreet website and learn more about the partnership that the WVHBA and eight other professional trade association groups are providing to their members.  You will find various links — BrickStreet’s announcement of the Association Program as well as receiving guidance on establishing the required Return to Work program (.pdf) for your company.

(Note:  there is also a special website to assist members in developing a formal safety loss program.  Members who have been approved may visit the site after first calling the State Office and receiving license and password to enter the site.)

Two other documents that members will need to access are the Participation Agreement (.pdf) and Review of Eligibility form (.pdf) – both of which will be sent to BrickStreet to determine if the member has met the agreed to criteria for eligibility.
